Sierra Leone Strengthens Global Youth Ties with IYF Agreement in South Korea
In a bold step to empower young people and build international educational ties, at the Good News mission center Gangnam in Seoul, South Korea.
Siierra Leone’s Minister of Youth Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Sannoh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) This signing represents a significant milestone in enhancing collaboration between Sierra Leone and the IYF, a global non-governmental organization dedicated to youth development through education, cultural exchange, and leadership training.
Minister Sannoh and IYF Founder and President, Dr. Ock Soo Park, were the main signatories of the MoU.

According to the agreement, both parties have pledged to:
1. Promote collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the IYF, based on mutual respect and shared goals.
2. Support and sponsor joint initiatives in youth cultural exchange, education, and other areas of common interest.
3. Foster an environment that encourages open communication and information-sharing for stronger cooperation.
4. Identify and implement targeted collaborative projects in key development sectors.
During the ceremony, Minister Sannoh highlighted the significance of international partnerships in unlocking global opportunities for Sierra Leonean youth and enhancing their contributions to national development.
“This partnership with IYF will empower our youth, provide access to new learning opportunities, and create cultural connections that link Sierra Leone with the rest of the world,” he stated.

Founded in 2001, IYF is a worldwide youth organization grounded in Christian values, aiming to nurture future leaders through education, mentorship, and community involvement. The organization operates across continents to offer practical solutions to youth-related challenges globally.

This agreement is anticipated to usher in a new era of cross-border youth collaboration and development between Sierra Leone and the international community.
