Reaffirming Sierra Leone’s solidarity with Korea amid its ongoing political transition, Ambassador Massaquoi expressed wishes for a peaceful and successful process. He emphasized Sierra Leone’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and other strategic sectors, pledging to strengthen ties between the two nations.

Ambassador Massaquoi also highlighted the broader scope of his diplomatic mission, which extends to the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia. He voiced optimism about exploring new avenues for partnership and mutual growth during his tenure.

The historic event concluded with a celebratory dinner hosted by Ambassador Massaquoi. The occasion featured the launch of the Friends of Freetown initiative, aimed at fostering cultural and diplomatic connections. Distinguished guests included Ambassador Togolani Edriss Mavura of Tanzania, Ambassador Andrew Bwezani Banda of Zambia, staff from various African embassies, and members of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Seoul.
